This Privacy Policy explains how ToolTok for Android and the related ToolTok web experience handle information.

1. Scope

ToolTok for Android is a native Android shell that loads the live ToolTok service from https://tooltok.vercel.app/. This policy covers the Android app, the GitHub Pages landing site, and the ToolTok service that powers the in-app experience.

2. Information we process

  • Account and profile information you choose to submit, such as email address and login details when using ToolTok account features.
  • Newsletter signup information if you subscribe through ToolTok forms.
  • Product usage data such as page views, feed impressions, video interactions, outbound tool clicks, bookmarks, comments, and related event metadata.
  • Device and browser or WebView data needed to operate the service, such as IP address, approximate device details, cookies, session tokens, and log data.
  • Advertising and measurement data processed by Google AdMob when interstitial ads are shown in the Android app. This may include device identifiers, diagnostics, ad performance data, and fraud-prevention signals subject to Google's policies.

3. How we use information

  • To deliver the ToolTok feed, navigation, account, newsletter, and admin features.
  • To keep the app secure, diagnose issues, and improve performance and content quality.
  • To measure engagement with videos, tools, newsletter signup flows, and ads.
  • To serve and manage advertising within the Android app through AdMob.

4. Third-party services

ToolTok depends on third-party infrastructure and content providers, including:

  • Google AdMob for interstitial advertising in the Android app.
  • Google and YouTube for video content, embeds, and related services.
  • Supabase for authentication, database storage, and related backend operations.
  • Vercel for hosting the live ToolTok web experience.
  • GitHub Pages and GitHub Releases for the Android app landing site and downloads.

Those providers may process information under their own privacy terms when their services are used.

5. Data sharing

ToolTok does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers and advertising partners strictly to run the service, deliver ads, prevent fraud, comply with law, or protect the app and its users.

6. Data retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for product operations, analytics, support, legal compliance, and abuse prevention. No service can guarantee absolute security, but ToolTok uses reasonable technical and operational safeguards.

7. Your choices

  • You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
  • You can manage newsletter participation by unsubscribing from emails you receive.
  • You can control certain advertising and identifier preferences through your Android device settings and Google account settings.
