Amoura ("the app") is developed by Charles Hartmann. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled. Amoura is intended for adult users (18+).
Your conversations, companion profile, memories, and settings are stored locally on your device using local storage (Room database and DataStore). They are never transmitted to any server we operate. There is no user account or login.
You can permanently delete all local app data at any time using the "Reset Everything" option in Settings.
The app shows banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads via Google AdMob to support free use of the app. AdMob may collect:
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent before serving personalized ads. You can review or change your ad consent choice anytime via Settings → Privacy Options. See Google's own privacy policy for how it handles this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Amoura offers an optional subscription that unlocks Spicy Mode and removes ads. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing — we never see or store your payment card details. We only receive purchase/subscription status (active or not) to unlock features.
As a free alternative to subscribing, watching a rewarded ad temporarily unlocks Spicy Mode (15 minutes per ad, up to 4 hours per day). This is tracked only as a timestamp/counter stored locally on your device.
The app may use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to help us detect and fix crashes and understand feature usage. This can include device model, OS version, app version, and anonymized crash/usage events. This data is processed by Google/Firebase, not sold, and is not linked to any account since the app has none.
If you choose to submit a bug report or feedback from Settings, the text you write and any screenshots you attach are sent to our GitHub repository issue tracker to help us fix problems. This only happens when you actively choose to send a report — it is never automatic.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, or contacts. Your chat conversations and companion data are not uploaded anywhere by default.
Local app data (chat history, companion profile, memories, settings) can be deleted anytime via Settings → Reset Everything, or by uninstalling the app. Note that this does not retract data already sent through the ad network (e.g. advertising ID history held by Google) or previously submitted feedback reports.
Amoura is intended for users 18 years of age and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Questions about this policy or your data can be raised via GitHub Issues.
