Child Safety Standards
These are the published child safety standards for AI Social: On-Device AI Feed by Hartmann Studios (Charles Hartmann). They describe our zero-tolerance position on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how the app is designed, how anyone can report a concern, and who to contact. This page is a permanent, publicly accessible part of the app’s user policy documentation.
1. Prohibition of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
Hartmann Studios strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in AI Social: On-Device AI Feed and in every other product we publish. This prohibition covers, without limitation:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including photographic, drawn, animated, AI-generated, or text-based depictions of minors in a sexual context, and any attempt to create, request, store, share, or display such material through the app.
- Sexualization of minors: content that presents a minor in a sexual manner, or that describes or depicts a minor as an object of sexual interest.
- Grooming, enticement, sextortion, trafficking, or any other conduct that seeks to sexually exploit or endanger a minor.
- Instructions, encouragement, or solicitation relating to any of the above.
Any user who attempts to use AI Social: On-Device AI Feed for CSAE will be blocked from the project’s services and reported to the appropriate authorities. We cooperate with law enforcement and with child safety organizations.
2. How AI Social is designed with child safety in mind
- No accounts, no strangers, no messaging. AI Social: On-Device AI Feed is a single-player, make-believe social feed. Every post and comment is generated by an AI model for the person using the app. There is no sign-in, no public profile, no user-to-user messaging, no friend requests, no file or image sharing, and no way for one user to contact another through the app.
- Safe-content generation. The app’s system prompt instructs every AI backend (on-device or a user-configured server) to generate only safe, PG-13 social-media-style content. Sexual content involving minors, or any other CSAE content, is prohibited and is never requested by the app.
- Not for children. The app is not directed at children and is not designed to appeal to children; its Google Play target audience declaration excludes children.
- No upload path for abuse material. The app does not accept or host user-uploaded images or video and does not operate a backend that stores user content.
3. In-app reporting mechanism
AI Social: On-Device AI Feed lets users report child safety concerns, or any other concern, from inside the app without leaving it:
- Open the menu on any post or comment and choose Report content. Pick a reason (for example “Offensive or inappropriate”), add an optional note, and send. The report is delivered to the developer immediately.
- Use the in-app Support & Feedback tool (Settings) to report anything else, with an optional screenshot and diagnostics if you choose.
Reports are reviewed by the developer. Where a report indicates CSAE, we take action without delay, including removing the content from our systems, blocking the responsible user from the project’s services, and reporting to the relevant authorities (see section 5).
4. Child safety point of contact
Our designated child safety point of contact is prepared to discuss the app’s CSAM prevention practices and compliance with child safety laws:
- Name: Charles Hartmann, Hartmann Studios
- Email: me@charleshartmann.com
You can also report a concern publicly or privately through the project’s issue tracker at https://github.com/chartmann1590/AI-Social/issues. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
5. Handling CSAM and reporting to authorities
Hartmann Studios complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including laws that require reporting of child sexual abuse material. If we become aware of CSAM in connection with AI Social: On-Device AI Feed, we will:
- Remove the material from any system we control and preserve what the law requires us to preserve for investigators.
- Report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via its CyberTipline and, where required, to the relevant regional or national authority.
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement requests.
If you encounter CSAM anywhere online, you can report it directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or to the INHOPE hotline for your country.
6. Changes to these standards
We may update these standards when the app or the law changes. The Last updated date at the top reflects the latest revision. The current version is always available at https://chartmann1590.github.io/AI-Social/csae-standards.html. See also the Privacy Policy.
