Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Dead Tide Android game ("Dead Tide", "the game") uses, why, and the choices you have. Dead Tide is published on Google Play by Hartmann Studios ("we", "us").
The short version: Dead Tide has no accounts and no sign-in. Your progress is saved only on your phone. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and it offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing. We do not run our own servers for the game and we do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
What stays on your phone
Your gold, armory talents, unlocked chapters and stages, best scores, settings, whether you bought "Remove Ads", and a record of which purchases have already been credited are saved in the game's private storage on your device. This data is not sent to us. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free game shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the main menu, an occasional full-screen ad between runs (never in the middle of a run), and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch for bonus gold. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share with Google your device's advertising ID, other device identifiers, your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device and app information, and ad interactions and diagnostics. Google uses this as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent: where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland) the game shows Google's consent message (the User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are served. You can change your choice at any time with the "Ad privacy options" button in the Supply Depot (shop) screen.
Your choices: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and manage ad personalization at My Ad Center. Buying "Remove Ads" turns off the banner and the full-screen ads; rewarded ads stay available only if you choose to watch them.
In-app purchases (Google Play Billing)
Dead Tide sells "Remove Ads" (one-time) and gold packs through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we never see or store your card or payment details. The game receives the purchase status and a purchase token from Google Play so it can unlock what you bought and restore it after a reinstall. Purchases are governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Analytics and crash reporting
Dead Tide does not include any separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Google Play may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as installs and crash counts) through the Play Console, under Google's own policies.
Permissions
The game uses internet and network-state access (to load ads and talk to Google Play) and the advertising ID permission (for AdMob). It does not request your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
Children
Dead Tide contains cartoon zombie violence and ads and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data sharing, retention and deletion
We do not sell personal information. Apart from the data the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google Play handle as described above, the game does not transmit personal data. Because your game data lives only on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling. For data Google holds, use your Google account controls.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
