Hartmann Studios now has its own YouTube channel
Hartmann Studios, the Android app side of Homelab the Right Way, has its own YouTube channel: @HartmannStudiosApps. Promo videos for Shape & Shade, TrailSage, Nightsay, Pawdub, EventCrew and Gizmo Gunners live there now.
The Android apps have their own home on YouTube now. Hartmann Studios is the name the apps ship under, and its channel is youtube.com/@HartmannStudiosApps. (The plain @hartmannstudios handle was already taken on YouTube, so the channel is @HartmannStudiosApps.)
Why a separate channel
Until today, the app promo videos sat on the Homelab the Right Way channel next to the Proxmox, backup and networking videos. That made each channel harder to follow: someone who subscribed for homelab walkthroughs got app trailers, and someone who found an app had to dig through server videos to see the rest of the apps.
So the apps get their own channel. The homelab channel stays exactly what it is, and the app videos that are already there stay up, so no existing link breaks. The same promos are being added to the new channel, a few at a time, and new app videos will go there from now on.
Hartmann Studios is also on TikTok as @hartmannstudios.
The apps
Shape & Shade (out now). Find your face shape and your best colors in seconds, with nothing uploaded. It measures your face on your phone and gives hairstyle, glasses, brow, beard and contour ideas for that shape. Get it on Google Play.
TrailSage: AI Road Trip Guide (out now). An offline GPS audio tour guide: it turns a drive into a guided tour, with the commentary generated on your phone. No accounts, no cloud. Get it on Google Play.
Nightsay (coming soon). A snore and sleep talk recorder that keeps the clips on your phone, with a Sleep Score and insights.
Pawdub (coming soon). Movie-style subtitles for your dog or cat, triggered by a real bark or meow detected on your phone. It is a joke app and says so: no app can translate animals.
EventCrew (coming soon). Keep your group together at concerts and festivals. Friends join from a link.
Gizmo Gunners: Robot Shooter (coming soon). A bright 3D robot shooter with a voiced story mode, heroes with powers and AI squad mates, playable fully offline.
Nightsay, Pawdub and EventCrew are with Google for review, and Gizmo Gunners is in testing. Each one gets its Play link here and on the channel the day it goes live.
What you will find on the channel
Short promo videos and walkthroughs for each app: what it does, what the screens look like, and who it is for. The first ones are going up now. If you want to know when a new app or a big update lands, subscribing to @HartmannStudiosApps is the easiest way to hear about it.
The homelab side isn't going anywhere: the daily videos, the ebooks and this blog carry on as before. Every link for both lives on the links page.
