Podcast merch: seven designs straight out of episode 1 (the green check lies, and a turtle)
Seven new items in the Homelab the Right Way merch store, all built from episode 1 of the podcast: The Green Check Lies tee and dad hat, the You Don't Have a Backup, You Have a Feeling tee, the Go Restore Something hoodie, the Everything Is the Backups Episode mug, the show badge sticker and the ...And a Turtle sticker.

The podcast launched last night (episode 1: The green check lies), and a few lines from it deserved to be printed. Seven new designs are in the Homelab the Right Way merch store today: two tees, a hoodie, an embroidered dad hat, a mug and two stickers. Same rules as every drop: original typography, printed or embroidered to order by Printful, nothing sitting in a warehouse. The hosts, Maya, Sam and Theo, are fictional AI hosts, so none of them appear on anything; the show's rack-and-mics logo does.
The Green Check Lies (tee)
The Green Check Lies Tee: a teal check box, the three words that open the first episode, and the pill underneath, "Backed up is not the same as restored." The green check on a Proxmox backup job proves the job ran. It does not prove the archive restores, that new VMs were included, or that the retention policy kept anything. The episode spends twelve minutes on exactly that; Never Lose Your Data spends a chapter.
Bella + Canvas 3001 unisex tee in Black, Navy, Dark Grey Heather and Forest. $27.50 to $45.50 depending on size.
You Don't Have a Backup, You Have a Feeling (tee)
You Don't Have a Backup, You Have a Feeling Tee: Sam's line from the closing segment, under a studio mic. If you have never restored from it, you don't have a backup, you have a feeling. The four restore drills in the book are the cure.
Bella + Canvas 3001 unisex tee in Black, Navy, Dark Grey Heather and Forest. $27.50 to $45.50 depending on size.
Go Restore Something (hoodie)
Go Restore Something Hoodie: how every episode ends. The show's rack with its two mic antennas on top, "GO RESTORE SOMETHING." in big type, and "before you add one more service" underneath, which is the first of the three things the hosts would tell a beginner.
Gildan 18500 heavy blend hoodie in Black, Navy, Dark Heather and Forest Green. $47.50 to $64 depending on size.
The Green Check Lies (dad hat)
The Green Check Lies Dad Hat: the same check box and catchphrase, embroidered in two thread colours on a classic Yupoong 6245CM dad cap.
Black, Navy, Dark Grey and Spruce. $28.
Everything Is the Backups Episode (mug)
Everything Is the Backups Episode Mug: Maya's verdict halfway through the Home Assistant segment, when the update routine turned out to be "backup plus a snapshot first" again. Headphones on top, "restore something today" on the amber pill, printed on both sides. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
Glossy ceramic mug, 11, 15 and 20 oz. $17 (11 oz) to $27.50 (20 oz).
Homelab the Right Way Podcast (sticker)
Homelab the Right Way Podcast Sticker: the show badge. The rack-and-mics logo, "The Podcast", the episode 1 title on the pill, and "three AI hosts, real answers" around the bottom. Kiss-cut vinyl for the laptop lid or the rack door.
3 x 3, 4 x 4 and 5.5 x 5.5 in. $4.50 to $5.50 depending on size.
...And a Turtle (sticker)
...And a Turtle Sticker: episode 1 is titled "backups, networking, self-hosting and a turtle", and the turtle segment (the wire that can fry an ESP32, the DS18B20 reading that is not a temperature) was the hosts' favourite. So: a teal turtle, the episode title, and the podcast tag. Kiss-cut vinyl.
3 x 3, 4 x 4 and 5.5 x 5.5 in. $4.50 to $5.50 depending on size.
Where everything is
All seven are in the merch store with the 45 earlier designs, and on the merch page here with photos. Prices are before shipping, which Printful calculates at checkout. Episode 1 is on RedCircle, and the show notes carry the chapters and every article mentioned.
