Symptom Diary, a new Android app from Hartmann Studios, is now live on Google Play. It is a private migraine and IBS diary built for the moment you feel bad: log an episode in seconds, and your patterns, triggers and trends build up on their own, all on your phone.

What it does

  • Quick check-in: a 1 to 10 severity dial, one-tap duration, trigger and medication chips, and an optional note.
  • Today at a glance: today's peak or your symptom-free streak, a 30-day severity heat strip and your weekly intensity trend.
  • Journal: every entry grouped by day with intensity, duration, triggers and medications.
  • Insights: severity over time, episodes per week and your most-noted triggers.
  • IBS / low-FODMAP mode: log meals with suggested FODMAP groups.
  • Medication notes: rate how well a medication worked and keep notes.
  • A home-screen widget with today's check-in at a glance and a Check in button.
  • Light and dark themes.

Private by design

Your diary is stored on your device. No account is needed, and backups go only where you save them.

Free and Diary Pro

Free covers unlimited logging, the Today view, the journal, charts, the widget and on-device backup, with a small banner ad. Diary Pro (monthly or yearly subscription) removes ads and adds sleep and activity pattern insights (from Health Connect, or logged by hand), food pattern insights in IBS mode, doctor-ready PDF and text reports, and an encrypted backup file with your own passphrase, saved wherever you choose.

In your language

Pick your language on first launch. The app translates its screens on your phone, and you can change it any time in Settings.
