Scan it. Date it. Never waste it.
Add groceries by barcode scan or by hand, get "use in 3 days" alerts before food expires, keep a shopping list that restocks the pantry, and see what is expiring on your home screen.
What it does
Fast entry and honest expiry alerts, fully offline, no account.
Barcode scan, free forever
On-device scanning with the camera; product names are looked up on Open Food Facts and you always confirm them.
Smart expiry alerts
"Use in 3 days", "expires tomorrow", "expired yesterday": quiet notifications you can tune.
Expiring-soon widget
What to eat next, on your home screen.
Categories and locations
Fridge, freezer, pantry; quantities and units.
Shopping list
Suggestions from low-stock and expiring items; tick what you bought and it restocks the pantry.
Receipt import (Pro)
Point the camera at a receipt; on-device text recognition proposes lines and you review every one.
See it in action
A short walkthrough of the real app.
How it works
- Scan or typeScan a barcode or enter a name; set quantity, location and expiry.
- Get nudged in timeExpiry alerts arrive before food goes bad, not after.
- Shop from the listThe list builds itself from what is running low; ticking items restocks the pantry.
Screens
Real captures from the app.

Free and Pro
The free app is the real app, with ads. Pantry Pro is an optional monthly or yearly subscription through Google Play; the price shows in the app in your currency.
Free
- Unlimited items, barcode scan and manual entry
- Expiry alerts and the home-screen widget
- Shopping list
- Ads on list screens
Pro
- No ads
- Receipt import with on-device text recognition
- Household sync: share one pantry with an 8-character household code
Private by design
Your pantry lives on your phone. Barcode lookups send only the barcode number to Open Food Facts. Household sync (Pro) is opt-in and shares only the pantry items with the people who have your household code.
In your language
On first launch you pick your language. The app downloads a free on-device translation pack from Google (ML Kit) for it and translates its screens on your phone; you can change the language any time in Settings. Translations are automatic, so a phrase may read a little differently than a native speaker would put it.
FAQ
Does it work offline?
Yes. Scanning, items, alerts and the shopping list all work offline. Only the product-name lookup needs a connection.
Where do product names come from?
Open Food Facts, a free public database. The app sends the barcode number and shows you the suggested name, which you can change. You can also skip the lookup.
What is household sync?
A Pro feature: start a household, share its 8-character code, and everyone with the code sees and edits the same pantry. Leave the household at any time; your local pantry stays.
Is receipt import private?
Yes. Text recognition runs on your phone and the receipt photo is not uploaded. You review every line before it is added.
