1. Who we are

WarmWord ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile app that provides a private, on-device AI mental health companion. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

2. What we collect

Nothing by default. WarmWord is designed so that your journal entries, chat conversations, and mood notes are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not require an account to use the core experience.

3. On-device processing

The AI model that powers your chats runs entirely on your phone. Your messages are not sent to our servers for inference, and we never see their contents.

4. Local storage

Data you create — conversations, journal entries, and mood logs — is kept in the app's private, encrypted local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us.

5. Subscriptions and payments

WarmWord Premium is sold through Google Play. All billing, including payment details and purchase records, is handled by Google. We receive only a confirmation that a subscription is active so the app can unlock Premium features. We never receive or store your card number.

6. Crash reports and diagnostics

If you enable sharing, we may collect anonymized, aggregated crash and performance data (for example, which screen was open). This data contains no conversation or journal content. You can disable it at any time in your device settings.

7. Permissions we use

• Notifications — only if you turn on gentle reminders to journal or check in.
• Storage — only when you choose to export your own entries.

8. Children's privacy

WarmWord is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.

9. Your control and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you can delete it any time by removing individual entries in the app or by uninstalling WarmWord, which removes all locally stored data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, noted in the app.
