I have not been touched in four whole minutes. This is a tragedy.
On-device AI · For fun · Android
Your pet finally has subtitles.
Point your phone at your dog or cat. When it barks, meows or growls, Pawdub hears the real sound on your phone, and a movie-style subtitle slams onto the screen in your pet's persona. Post it anywhere.

The sound is real.
The words are comedy.
Pawdub really listens for your pet's sounds and really looks at the scene. The lines are jokes written for each persona, not what your pet means. That's the whole fun.
Point and film
Open the dub camera and point it at your pet, like you're filming. Or pick a pet video you already have.
It really listens
On-device AI hears the sound the moment it happens. A little chip shows what it heard.
The subtitle slams in
A line in your pet's persona pops onto the screen. Export the clip with the subtitles burned in, and share it to TikTok, Reels, Shorts or WhatsApp.
Features
Smart where it counts. All on your phone.
The AI in Pawdub runs on the device: it hears the sound and sees the scene. No cloud, no account, and it keeps working in airplane mode once your languages are downloaded.
It hears the sound
A sound model on your phone listens for barks, whines, growls, howls, meows, purrs and hisses. No sound, no subtitle.
It reads the scene
Door, food bowl, couch, toy, bed: the camera notices where your pet is, so the line fits the moment.
A bubble that follows
In Bubble style, a comic speech bubble tracks your pet around the frame as it moves.
Cutouts and posters
Lift your pet out of any frame for stickers, or drop them into a pet movie poster template.
Dub the clips you have
Pick a pet video from your gallery. Pawdub finds the sounds and places the subtitles for you.
59 languages
Subtitles translated on your phone. Add a second language underneath for bilingual captions.
Pet voice
Hear the line out loud in a silly pet voice, using your phone's own text-to-speech.
Bark diary
A running log of the sounds Pawdub heard and the lines it gave them. Just for laughs.
Personas
Who is your pet, really?
Pick a persona and every line comes out in that voice, with your pet's name dropped in. Here's one sample line each.
You're home!!! I thought you were gone forever!!! It's been nine minutes!!!
In my day, the couch was for sitting. Now get off it.
The bowl is half empty. Summon the staff.
I have chosen violence. And then a nap.
Notes of chicken. A bold crunch. I'll allow it.
The vacuum is a government drone. Wake up, people.
The doorbell rang twice. Nobody rings twice in this town.
Sample lines written for this page. In the app, lines change with the sound, the scene and the time of day.
Languages
59 languages. Same punchline.
Subtitles are translated on your phone, so your pet can be dramatic in Spanish, grumpy in Japanese and royal in Hindi. Add a second language underneath for bilingual captions.
Styles
Four ways to put words in their mouth.
Every export is a 9:16 video with the subtitles burned in, ready for a For You page with no editing.
The couch is mine. It was always mine.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does Pawdub really translate what my pet is saying?
No, and no app can. Pawdub really detects your pet's sounds and the scene, right on your phone. The words are jokes we wrote for each persona, not what your pet means. It's for fun.
Then what does the AI actually do?
Two kinds of on-device models. One listens and recognizes the sound: bark, whine, growl, howl, meow, purr or hiss. The other looks at the frame: is there a dog or cat, a door, a food bowl, a couch, a toy. Pawdub uses both to pick a line that fits. If it hears nothing, nothing pops up.
Is my video or audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Sound and video are processed on your phone and never uploaded. There's no account and no server. The microphone and camera are only used while the dub screen is open. A clip leaves your phone only when you share it yourself.
Which pets does it work with?
It's made for dogs and cats. Other pets can be filmed, but the sound recognition and the lines are written for barks, meows and friends.
Which languages are there?
Subtitles come in 59 languages, translated on your phone. Each language is downloaded from Google once, then works offline. The full list: Afrikaans, Albanian, Arabic, Belarusian, Bengali, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Finnish, French, Galician, Georgian, German, Greek, Gujarati, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Maltese, Marathi, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, Welsh.
Is it free?
Yes. Live dubbing is free, with ads. Pro removes ads and unlocks every persona, language and style. Pro is a subscription with a free trial for new subscribers, or a one-time lifetime unlock, and there are optional add-on packs. Prices are shown in Google Play.
Are there ads on the camera?
Never. Ads only appear in the free version, and never on the camera screen. Pro has no ads at all.
Can it tell if my pet is upset, sick or anxious?
No. Pawdub makes no claims about your pet's feelings, health or behaviour. A growl is just a growl sound to it. If you're worried about your pet, talk to a vet.
Who is it for?
Pet people aged 13 and up who like posting their pets. It is not made for children.
When can I get it?
It's coming soon to Google Play for Android. This page will link straight to the listing the day it's live.
How do I get help or report a bug?
Open an issue on GitHub. Issues are public, so please don't post videos of your home or personal information.
