Terms of Service

Effective date: October 15, 2026 · Last updated: October 15, 2026 · App: Pawdub: Funny Pet Translator · Developer: Hartmann Studios

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pawdub: Funny Pet Translator app ("Pawdub", "the app") published by Hartmann Studios ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.

1. The app

Pawdub uses your phone's camera and microphone, or a video you choose, to detect your pet's sounds and the scene on your device, and shows funny subtitle lines written for the persona you pick. You can translate subtitles, have them read aloud, export videos with the subtitles burned in, and make stickers and posters.

2. For fun

Pawdub is for entertainment. The subtitles are jokes written in advance and chosen by the app; they are not a translation of what your pet means, and the app does not understand animals. The app makes no claims about your pet's emotions, health or behaviour, and it is not training, veterinary or behavioural advice. If you are worried about your pet, talk to a vet. Sound detection and translation can be wrong.

3. Eligibility

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your purchases.

4. Your content

Videos, photos and lines you create are yours; they are processed on your device, we do not receive them and we claim no rights in them. Only film people who are fine with it, respect others' privacy, and follow the rules of any platform you share to. You are responsible for anything you choose to share from the app, including custom lines you write.

5. Pro, subscriptions and purchases

6. Ads

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, as described in the Privacy Policy. Ads are never shown on the camera screen. Optional rewarded ads may unlock a feature for a limited time.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to harass or mislead people, to record people without their consent where the law requires it, or for anything unlawful. Don't present the subtitles as a real translation of an animal. Don't reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as the law allows.

8. Third-party components

The app uses Google ML Kit, a sound-recognition model released under the Apache 2.0 license, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google Play Billing. These are provided under their own terms.

9. Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop offering features of the app. We may update these Terms; the new version will be posted on this page with a new date, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept it.

10. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hartmann Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
